Entrepreneurship in Africa is an emerging and important research field in science, business, economics, and psychology. Our goal is to help develop this field and improve our understanding of entrepreneurial individuals and organizations in Africa.
Our research takes a psychological perspective and investigates entrepreneurial cognition and decision making. Secondly, our research stream follows a business perspective and tries to understand the behavior of young organizations and factors that contribute to their success. CIRMI is addressing these issues using theoretical and methodological knowledge at the intersection between various disciplines including management, psychology, economics, sociology, and natural sciences, our team is interdisciplinary and composed of researchers with diverse backgrounds and qualifications. – we promote sustainable development through the generation, dissemination, use and mastery of entrepreneurship in Africa. We are on a mission to raise the impact of entrepreneurship research in Africa by bringing deep insights and great design to close the gap between academia and practice. We have global capabilities with a distinctly local feel.
